PERCEPTION Camps

Half archaeologist, half biologist, open wide your five senses because here you will discover the secrets of the forest and peat bogs of Livradois-Forez and explore that which gave rise to and that which sustains human life on Earth !

If your hobby is archaeology, you will benefit from the Neolithic site that was discovered less than an hour’s journey from the Centre for Scientific Living, where you can try your archaeological talents.

If on the other hand what you love above all is Nature, the plants and the animals, you will leave for the magnificent peat bogs which also may be found only one hour from the Centre, and you will return via the forest where you may undertake many experiments and observations of animals !

And if you want to do both at the same time ? In that case, it is accompanied by educators of the thunder that you will recreate the daily life of the men of the time while leaving via the close forest, from which you will learn how to know all the various inhabitants.

Half archaeologist, half biologist, you will have the privilege of exploring the famous peat bogs protected in the regional Park of Livradois-Forez and will become acquainted with the carnivorous plants, wild orchids, and also the myrtles which populate Haut-Forez, this old mountain village of Auvergne.

A passion for the raptors ? You will want them to try and tame the sparrowhawk that approaches the Centre regularly since you and your friends built a platform for it on the roof. Have a weakness for foxes ? Then at the close of day, having mounted some cables to the Centre, you will leave to make your meeting with the Fox. Do you have eyes only for the plants ? Then it is here that you will have the most beautiful of stays. At the Centre of Scientific Living of St-Anthème are held astonishing experiments, halfway between archaeology and botany. Here it goes by the name ethnobotany ! Have you already heard tell of it ? And who knows ? Perhaps you will find agricultural implements on the site of the association’s archaeological excavations. Or musical instruments ?

To understand the world which surrounds us, to understand from whence we came and where we are going, and all within the great outdoors – here is a royal holiday don’t you find ? But be aware, spaces are limited : sign up as soon as possible for your place.
